Accommodation
Accommodation in a new log house (completed in week 13/2024) for families with children, multigenerational families, groups of friends or relatives, for meetings and celebrations.
Daytime events, meetings and celebrations can be arranged for groups of 15 people.
The peaceful farm at Venetmäki is entirely at your disposal, if desired. An easy distance away, not too far along gravel roads. In the midst of a village community of friendly and helpful people.
We are located in Central Finland, 62 km/1 hour from Jyväskylä, 28 km/25 min from Pieksämäki.
Downstairs
Downstairs there is a living room with dining area, kitchen, sauna with electric stove, washroom and toilet, and two double bedrooms. The large dining table seats 10 people.
This floor is wheelchair and rollator accessible. There are no thresholds between rooms, and there is enough space for a wheelchair to turn in every room. From the terrace you can enjoy a view of the lake and sunset.
The downstairs can be rented separately, e.g., for working remotely. One of the bedrooms has a writing desk with a lamp.
Other facilities
The well-equipped kitchen has a breakfast table with bar stools.
The laundry room has a washing machine.
Upstairs
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms and a toilet. You can admire the wonderful landscape over the lake from the hall windows.
For those who enjoy peace and privacy
Ideal for people who enjoy peace and quiet in the countryside, under the starry sky. Only two neighbouring cottages by the lake, used mainly in summer (no direct line of sight).
The size of the farm is approximately 17 ha, comprising garden, woods, fields, beach, and private road. Includes the right to use the Venetekemä(järvi) waterway, with a farm-specific fishing permit for 2 fish traps or nets.
The fields are under cultivation and worked on every now and then. This arrangement with the same family has existed since the 1970s, in perfect understanding!
Paradise for sauna bathers
Farmhouse Sipilä is the perfect place for sauna lovers, who can have three different sauna experiences here.
The lakeshore sauna for 4-5 bathers has a dressing room with a window that opens, and a large beach terrace. Water for bathing is fetched from the lake. On the beach you will find a campfire site and a shed with ready-to-use firewood for the sauna stove. There is also an outhouse near the lake.
A separate fee of €200 is charged for the use of the lakeshore sauna in May-October. The sauna is not in use in winter.
There is a traditional outdoor sauna for four bathers in the garden, under the shelter of some lilac bushes. The sauna building comprises a small dressing room and terrace. Water for bathing is hand pumped from the well in the garden and carried to the sauna.
The farmhouse also has an indoor sauna with an electric stove and shower, for four bathers.
